Bookfinders

Throughout the academic year, a volunteer Bookfinder is stationed on level 3A from 10:00 a.m. to Noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. weekdays to assist patrons in retrieving items from the stacks.

For additional information, please phone Lynnette Leiker at 303-492-7094 or email her at Lynnette.Leiker@colorado.edu.

The Circulation desk also retrieves items in the Norlin Basement (norbas) stacks upon request. Staff in the Periodicals Room will also assist in retrieving materials upon request.

Norlin Library Bookfinders!
Volunteer Opportunities Available

Do you love being in a library?  Do you enjoy helping others?  Are you available two hours a week or more to be in CU-Boulder’s Norlin Library helping students locate books in the stacks?  Become a volunteer Bookfinder and staff a desk on the 3rd floor of Norlin Library to assist CU clientele looking for books and other library materials.

What kind of a time commitment will be expected?

Most Bookfinders agree to work one 2-hour shift per week, either morning or afternoon on a certain day.   Trained substitutes are available to fill in when you are unable to keep your regular hours.

When are the Bookfinders available?

The Bookfinder desk is staffed from 10 am to noon and 1- 3 pm, Monday through Friday when classes are in session.  Bookfinders do not staff the desk during academic year breaks (including holidays) or during the summer months.
