Broadway & Euclid Construction Project
Construction began mid-November 2011 and will be completed Fall 2012. The north-bound Euclid stop is closed during construction. This is a major undertaking and will disrupt travel patterns until completion. Details are posted at --

SUBJECT: Major Construction on Broadway to begin Wednesday
Starting on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, the Broadway (Euclid-18th) Transportation Improvements Project will begin construction. The construction along Broadway is expected to take approximately nine months to complete and will be finished by fall 2012.
Campus pedestrian and traffic impacts for fall/winter 2011 include:
-- Broadway multi-use path detour near Euclid Avenue
-- Closure of the northbound bus stop serving the UMC (at Euclid Avenue)
-- Closure of the southbound bus stop at Euclid Avenue after Dec. 18 (other bus stops in the construction area will remain open)
-- Daytime off-peak lane closures on Broadway, Euclid Avenue, and 16th Street
-- Opening a temporary southbound Broadway left lane at 18th Street
Beginning in late 2011/early 2012, full-time lane reductions on Broadway and closure of the cross-streets (16th Street and Euclid Avenue) will be necessary to construct the underpass beneath Broadway. During this period, Broadway will be reduced from two through lanes in each direction to one through lane in each direction.
This project has been identified as a priority to improve safety and traffic flow for campus access. The Broadway and 16th transit stop is one of the busiest RTD stops in the system, and current boarding and deboarding areas place transit users in direct proximity to the major Broadway multi-use path.
This area also receives a large amount of pedestrian traffic as students living west of Broadway cross at Euclid to walk on to campus. The goal of the project is provide improved, safe and efficient upgrades for vehicles, buses, pedestrians and bicyclists.

Regional Transportation District (RTD) | system map
RTD buses that stop by the campus include: AB (DIA), BX (Express), BV (Local), DD, DM (Anschutz), GS (Cold Springs), J (Longmont), 203, 204, 205.
RTD serves Boulder and the entire Denver metropolitan area -- including Denver International Airport. Student fees pay for a bus pass each semester, so by showing a valid UCB student ID when boarding any Boulder local RTD bus the ride is free. A ride in the metropolitan area that originates or ends in Boulder also is free with a valid UCB student ID. SkyRide to DIA has a $5 surcharge, return from DIA is free. RTD's SkyRide offers reliable transportation to and from Denver International Airport.
After 8:00 p.m. the RTD provides a program called Night Stop. This program allows riders who don't feel safe walking home from their usual stop, to ask the bus driver to let them off at any safe point along the regular route.
The busses listed below service the University directly. In addition to these, other busses service Boulder -- see the RTD link below.

Hop, Skip, Jump, Leap, Bound & Stampede
Boulder's Community Transit Network (CTN) provides seven routes are available on the brightly-painted Hop, Skip, Jump, Bound, Dash, Bolt and Stampede buses. Theses routes are administered by both the Regional Transportation District (RTD) and Special Transit.
Please check the RTD and GoBoulder websites for details. Generally, the Hop bus runs every 10 minutes between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. between the University, "the Hill," Pearl Street Mall and Crossroads Mall. The bus is free with a valid UCB-Boulder student ID. Regular fare is seventy-five cents.
Through the UCB academic calendar, the Night Hop runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights every 15 minutes between Pearl Street Mall, "the Hill," and campus from 10:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
CU NightRide is a student-operated program dedicated to meeting the safety needs of CU students, faculty, and staff by providing night-time transportation to support a safe academic and socially responsible environment both on campus and in the community.
The information posted on the NextBus site has shrunk rather than expanded making it almost irrelevant. It's retained here in hopes the situation will improve.
When the weather is really bad -- snow and/or freezing cold -- it is impossible
for RTD, the HOP or the Buff Bus to stay on schedule. Try using NextBus to
find out when your bus will arrive at your bus stop. You can reduce the amount
of time you spend waiting in the cold at the bus stop.
Go to: http://www.nextbus.com/
and select: State = Colorado / Agency = RTD/Boulder Transit, CO
Then select your specific Route/line, Direction and From (bus) stop to find out when the next bus on your route will arrive at your stop.
Please allow a cushion of few minutes, considering the conditions. It may take you longer than you expect to get to your stop and the bus may speed up or slow down due to varying conditions.
