West Entrance
The west entrance of Norlin has reopened while construction continues.
An important project to replace a waterproof membrane under the west patio began March 23rd. All the flagstone of the patio and steps needed to be removed and the membrane installed. Workers are proceeding to replace all the flagstone and completely reseal the patio.
Due to the nature of this project, the west side materials return box has been closed until further notice. Please return materials either inside at the Circulation Desk or to the return box on the east side of the building.
Second Floor
N210 Office Renovation Construction began in January 2013.
Phase I of this project will likely be the remodeling of the offices around the perimeter. Phase II will be construction of the offices in the middle of the current stack area.
West Lobby We hope work will begin after graduation in May 2013.
Plans include removal of the tile at the west entrance and the floor at the bottom of both stair wells. It will be replaced with Terrazzo tile. The lobby will have a glass entry with doors much like the existing doors to the north and south. This area will include built-in display cases and if possible touch-screen equipment to enhance way-finding.
Third Floor
M350 Construction began in January 2013.
This remodel includes a store-front wall entry and will house the AMRC and Glen Miller collections at approximately 2200 sq. feet.
