Agenda items for next meeting: Draft Depository Library Guidelines Updates: DPL: Counting and measuring in preparation for November move. DPL will not close during the moving of stored collections into the new building. Telnet to GPO SWAIS server still does not work from DPL catalog. George Machovec from CARL unable to diagnose the source of the problem. UNC: Marcive tape not yet produced. Using the C400 circulation module. Received notice that UNC library would NOT be receiving Colorado State Tax forms. The Student Union at UNC will be the designated distribution point. Auraria: Profiling for Marchive tape load. CSM: 1 week of shipping records in test database on CARL. Observed problems: records lack 049 field and serial records were included in the test database. UCB: Testing Marchive database. Loading onto Chinook to begin. Right-to-Know Network is offering free access to Toxic Release Inventory, 1987-1993, EPA Water Permit Compliance System, USGS Water Use Database, other environmental datasets, and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act data. Access is free but one-time registration is required for searching. Login, password, and documentation are sent via surface mail about ten days after completing online registration. Tim Byrne, UCB, solicited volunteers to work on initial screen design and content for the GPO access gateways which are housed by CARL. Julia Wallace, on sabbatical from U. of Minnesota, is working with a GPO taskforce to look at electronic dissemination of government information. This taskforce is on a fast track. Meeting adjourned.
