The Music Library has a collection of about 600 English popular songs between the years 1780 and 1860. These are included in the music library's popular song collection and available by composer, title, or first line of text through the computer catalog (Chinook).

G. ENGLISH CATCHES AND GLEES

The Music Library has recently acquired a collection of about 3000 English catches and glees -- popular secular choral music -- of the period between about 1765 and 1860. These works are as yet uncataloged, but may be used by contacting the Music Librarian.

J. SCORES AND RECORDINGS

The Music Library maintains a large collection of performance editions of music by British composers from the Renaissance to the present day.

Its collection of sound recordings is the most extensive in the Rocky Mountain area. It includes music by many British composers, both historical and contemporary.
