• AccessUN CU
  The index to United Nations documents including Official Records, masthead documents, draft resolutions, meeting records, UN Sales Publications, and the UN Treaty Series citations. Also included is the full-text of several thousand UN documents.
• UNBISnet
  A catalog of UN documents and publications indexed by the UN Dag Hammarskjld Library and the Library of the UN office at Geneva. Also included are commercial publications and other non-UN sources held in the collection of the Dag Hammarskjld Library, voting records, and an index to speeches. The coverage of UNBISnet is from 1979 onward; however, older documents are being added to the catalog on a regular basis as a result of retrospective conversion. UNBISnet also provides instant access to a growing number of full-text resources in the six official languages of the UN.
• UN-I-QUE (UN Info Quest)
  A database for quick access to UN document and sales publications numbers from 1946-. This information can be used to locate materials in the CU collection which is available in hardcopy or microform.
• UN Member States: On the Record
  Provides online access to documents that give the views of all UN member states. Search by member state to find meeting records, draft resolutions, states parties reports, and press releases.

• Data and Statistics
• UN Comtrade (UN Commodity Trade Statistics Database) CU
  This database contains more than 700 million records covering over 40 years of detailed trade information. UN Comtrade not only lets users select the data they are looking for but also allows them to view and extract it in a number of different graphic formats.
• UNdata
  This database allows you to search over 55 million records of data from the United Nations and affiliated agencies (like FAO and ILO). It has a Google-like search engine, but you can also browse by topic or country.

  This page provides access to Statistics on population size and composition, births, deaths, marriage and divorce, and more.
• Human Functioning and Disability
  These pages have basic statistics on human functioning and disability.
• Millennium Development Goals Indicators
  This database has 48 indicators to measure progress toward the achievement of the Millennium Declaration development goals.
• National Accounts Main Aggregates Database
  This database contains a complete and consistent set of time series, from 1970 onwards, of main national accounts aggregates for all UN members states and all other countries and areas in the world.
• Population Density and Urbanization
• Population and Vital Statistics Report: Series A
  This report presents most recent data on population size (total, male and female) from the latest available census of the population, national official population estimates and the number and rate (births, deaths and infant deaths) for the latest available year after 1988. It also presents United Nations estimates of the mid-year population of the world, with its various areas and regions.
• Social Indicators
  These indicators are provided on the following areas: child-bearing, education, health, housing, human settlements, illiteracy, income and economic activity, population, unemployment, water supply and sanitation, youth and elderly populations.
• Statistics and Indicators on Women and Men
  These indicators are on six specific fields of concern: population, families, health, education, work and politics and human rights.
• United Nations Population Information Network
  A guide to population information on UN system web sites.


• Full-Text Documents
• Global Issues on the UN Agenda
  Use this site to locate key UN documents, upcoming events and activities with the UN system, statements of the Secretary General, and other information by topic.
• Official Document System of the United Nations (ODS)
  ODS covers all types of official UN documentation, beginning in 1993. However, older UN documents are added to the system on a daily basis. ODS also provides access to the resolutions of the General Assembly, Security Council, Economic and Social Council, and the Trusteeship Council from 1946 onwards. The system does not contain press releases, UN sales publications, the United Nations Treaty Series, or information brochures issued by the Department of Public Information. Please consult the Training Guides for help on searching ODS.
• UN Documents
  This center provides resolutions and documents from the General Assembly, Security Council, Economic and Social Council, Secretary General, the International Court of Justice, and the Trusteeship Council.
• United Nations Treaty Collection
  This database includes six categories of treaty-related data: Status of Multilateral Treaties Deposited with the Secretary-General; The United Nations Treaty Series; Texts of Recently Deposited Multilateral Treaties; Photographs of Treaty Signature Ceremonies; Titles of the Multilateral Treaties Deposited with the Secretary-General in the UN official languages; and Summary of Practice of the Secretary-General as Depositary of Multilateral Treaties.

• Charter of the United Nations
  The full charter of the UN is available here in HTML. This page contains links to separate sections of the charter.

  This site provides an introduction to the UN, country information, a Model UN briefing kit, and briefing papers on global topics geared to students age 12 and up.

  This guide provides information sources in print and electronic format on model UN research.

  Provides standard queries and search tools for finding UN information. From GlobaLex, which is produced by NYU School of Law.
• State Department (U.S.) Bureau of International Organization Affairs
  BIO "develops and implements U.S. policy in the United Nations (UN), its specialized agencies, and other international organizations". There is also an archived version of this site that provides access to U.S. policy on reform of the United Nations, peacekeeping, U.S. arrears, testimony before Congress, speeches, and other information under the President Clinton administration.
• UN Chronicle
  This is a newsletter with information, ideas and debates about the United Nations system.
• United Nations Documentation: Research Guide
  This guide includes an explanation of document symbols, basic tools, indexes, full text options, parliamentary documents, resolutions and decisions, and speeches.
• United Nations System Pathfinder
  "The purpose of this Pathfinder is to identify major publications of the organizations comprising the United Nations system." Includes sections on Communications, Culture, Disarmament, Economic Development, Environment, Human Rights, Human Settlements, International Law, International Security and Peace-Keeping, Outer Space, Population, Social Development, Transport, UN and International Organization.

  This is a digital version of the UN Yearbook back to 1946. This is the definitive reference source on the United Nations, with information on the resolutions and other work of the United Nations.
