Census Bureau produces statistical reports about population and socio-demographic characteristics of specific groups. In addition, many Census publications are broken down by race/and or ethnic origin. See Educational Attainment for a sample.
- American Factfinder--gateway to population and housing data from the 1990 Census and Census 2000, and industry and business data from the 1997 and 2002 Economic Census. Data are available for onscreen viewing or download.
- Minority Links for the media which provide demographic and economic data for African Americans, Asian /Pacific Islanders, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans.
- Changing America: Indicators of Social and Economic Well-Being by Race and Hispanic Origin "This chart book documents current differences in well-being by race and Hispanic origin and describes how such differences have evolved over the past several decades. The book is designed to further one of the goals of the President's Initiative on Race: To educate Americans about the facts surrounding the issue of race in America."
- Equal Opportunity Employment provides statistics from the EEOC and Census Bureau in regards to job patterns, equal employment, and enforcement statistics.
- Population Estimates by Age, Sex, and Race: 2003-present Population Estimates provides estimates of the population of counties and states by age, sex, and modified race and Hispanic Origin.
- Office of Management and Budget Statistical Policy: provides information on the implementation of the 1997 Standards for Federal Data on Race and Ethnicity. This classification provides "for a minimum set of five categories for data on race (American Indian or Alaska Native; Asian; Black or African American; Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander; and White) and two categories for data on ethnicity (Hispanic or Latino and Not Hispanic or Latino). In addition to changes in the categories and terminology, the 1997 standards require that agencies provide the opportunity for individuals to choose more than racial category if they wish to reflect multiple racial heritages." - Economic Census includes data on most sectors of the economy. Data available for states, counties, cities with population 2500 or more, and zip codes.
