1. Northwest grading: Sharon will remind Dan and also ask about removing the bike racks back to that side of the building.

2. Plastic utensils in the staff lounge are not an LAB issue.

3. It was decided to revisit the journals for the staff lounge in view of the serials budget. Prices for the various journals are:

Consumer Reports $27
Utne $21
People $112
Boulder Daily Camera $130 ( it's on Dialog @CARL)
New York Times $312 daily and $530 if Sunday is included (it's on LEXIS)

Originally these were to be gift items but that was not possible. Much discussion ensued.

4. The job-sharing subcommittee asked for a volunteer to stand in for Lisa until she returns and then for Naomi while she is out with the baby. Carl volunteered. We decided to ask Scott to come to the next meeting to discuss the issue and enlarge the scope to include employee development and training. This is happening on many fronts; but there is a need to improve and enlarge the concepts and encourage all folks to encourage it. The subcommittee is working on a form.

5. Willmaker; there are some restrictions on this because of licensing. Sharon will talk to Rani so we can decide on where to check it out and ascertain how many copies there are. There should be one copy somewhere permanently and one for checkout. Privacy must be considered.

6. Spring dean's meeting: March 23 from 8:30 (food,etc.) to 11:00.

8:30 - 9:00 food and chatter
9:00 - 9:45 associate directors' update
9:45 - 10:00 break
10:00 - 10:30 Jim Williams
10:30 - 11:00 questions

Sharon will put out a call for questions around March 10; an e-mail announcing the meeting will go out right away.

7. Trash on the porch: Dan will be asked to nag facilities management. We need another cigarette receptacle. The ideal would be a nonsmoking campus. We will also ask Dan to find out about replacing the snow mat; it's pretty yucky!

8. Release time: we'll discuss this next meeting.

recorder, Carol Krismann | respectfully submitted, Greg Robl, interim secy.
