Update to Changes in the Norlin Library Reference Department
Last updated May 9, 2008
Current newspapers are located by the north windows. Current journals are located directly behind the Reference Desk. Microfilm equipment is located by the north windows. Once construction is completed on the second floor, the combined Reference Department and Periodicals Collection will be moved to and permanently housed on Norlin's second floor in the space formerly occupied by the Periodicals Room and the major open Study Area. This central research center will offer references services for the arts, humanities, sciences and social sciences. The space formerly occupied by Reference will be converted into the Norlin Learning Commons -- open 24 hours a day -- complete with state-of-the-art computers, individual and group study areas, instruction space, video production space and a coffee shop.
