Searching Chinook, the online library catalog for CU Boulder Chinook provides access to the millions of holdings in Norlin Library and the five branch libraries (Business, Earth Sciences, Engineering, Math/Physics, Music). It includes books, periodicals, maps, compact disks, electronic databases, e-books, and more. To search for articles, use Find Articles and More. Basic Searching KeywordAdvanced Searching You can also search Chinook by call number or subject headings and limit by location, date, or material type, etc. For more advanced search techniques, see the Libraries' handout on searching Chinook. Choose the database you want from our alphabetical list or explore the subject lists for different disciplines. We have highlighed a few important databases for architecture and environmental design below. Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals The Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals indexes more than 2,000 periodicals published worldwide on architecture, archaeology, city planning, interior design, historic preservation, urban planning, and landscape architecture. Coverage is from the 1930s (with selective coverage dating back to the 1740s) to the present. The Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals is updated daily. It is the most important database for every aspect of Architecture. There is no need to ever use the term 'architecture' in your searches. Search:
Ecology Abstracts Current ecology research across
a wide range of disciplines, reflecting
recent advances in light of growing
evidence regarding global environmental
change and destruction. Ecology
Abstracts focuses on how organisms
of all kinds - microbes, plants,
and animals - interact with their
environments and with other organisms.
Included are relevant papers on
evolutionary biology, economics,
and systems analysis as they relate
to ecosystems or the environment.
