Howard B. Waltz Music Library
The Music Library, one of five branch libraries of the University of Colorado at Boulder library system, houses one of the largest and most important music research collections between Chicago and Los Angeles. In addition to a primary collection of scores, recordings, books and periodicals, it is home to the American Music Research Center (AMRC) -- an archive and sponsor of activities dedicated to American music. The Music Library has digitized over 900 titles from its sheet music collections as the University of Colorado Digital Sheet Music Collection.
The Music Library serves faculty, staff, and students of the College of Music and the campus at large, as well as the community and visiting researchers and scholars.
Chinook Catalog
Over 70,000 volumes covering music history, music theory, music education, musicians, jazz, popular music, and many other topics related to music.
Scores
The Music Library's primary collection includes over 55,000 musical scores.
The collection is rich in 19th-century chamber music, opera and other vocal
music, and piano music along with comprehensive holdings of composers' complete
works editions and historical anthologies.

Over 55,000 sound recordings representing a wide number of composers, performers, conductors, and musical styles.
The Music Library's special collections include rare and valuable original books and scores, as well as manuscripts and facsimiles, in areas outside of Americana. The library has extensive holdings cover a broad range, from manuscripts and facsimiles from England and Italy, like the Liber Magestri, Tosca di Puccini e Casa Ricordi, and Il Codice Squarcialupi, to 20,000 titles of popular sheet music from the 19th century.
The American Music Research Center's extensive holdings of primary sources related to 18th- and 19th-century American church music, American sheet music, an archive devoted to Glenn Miller, and a number of other special collections.
Videos and DVDs
Over 800 performances on video and DVD including student and faculty recitals,
concerts, operas, and musicals.
University of Colorado at Boulder students, staff and faculty are able to take advantage of wireless access in the Music Library.
