Off-Campus Access (VPN)

You must be authenticated as a CU-Boulder student or employee if you are trying to access our licensed databases and online resources from an off-campus location. To do this, you must be logged in to the VPN.

 

Install:

  1. Download the VPN from the OIT VPN Information Page
  2. Recommended:
    1. Desktop computer: Network Connect
    2. Mobile devices (Apple only): Junos Pulse mobile VPN app.
    3. Mobile devices (Others): Web VPN
  3. After installation, log in to VPN before you access the online databases/journals. A CU IdentiKey is required for logging into the VPN

If you encounter problems with the VPN and/or your IdentiKey account, please call the OIT Help Desk at 303-735-HELP or email them at help@colorado.edu.

Known Issues:

Research Pro: The Web VPN Interface currently does NOT work with Research Pro as well as with some of our online resources. Use the Network Connect VPN or the Cisco VPN.
