Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung Archiv
First published on November 1, 1949, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung is one of the major daily newspapers in Germany. Its intended scope covers a comprehensive range of topics in Germany and internationally. Aside from the current news website, F.A.Z. offers two archival products that cover the entire previous history of the publication: F.A.Z.-BiblioNet, which contains more than 2 million text-searchable articles of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspapers (daily edition, Sunday edition) from 1993 to the present; and F.A.Z. 49-92, which contains more than 2.8 million text-searchable articles from Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung from the founding of the newspaper in 1949 until 1992. Internationale Bibliographie zur Deutschen Klassik 1750-1850
The IBK is the most comprehensive and reliable specialist bibliography on German literature from the German Enlightenment to the Romantic period. It records about 5,000 publications annually, in German and foreign languages: monographs, contributions in collections and journals, university publications, commemorative volumes and sound recordings. For the authors of the German Classical Age included here, both primary and secondary literature has been recorded.
Kürschners Deutscher Gelehrten-Kalender Online
This resource includes entries with relevant biographical data, addresses, details on fields of research and work, and a selected bibliography for over 77,000 scholars currently working in academic institutions throughout German-speaking countries. The online edition is updated constantly and allows targeted searching for criteria such as field of work. The online edition also provides information about ca. 8,800 academics who have been reported deceased since 1996. Entries are kept up-to-date through thorough research as well as information provided by the listed scholars themselves. CU
VD18: Verzeichnis der im deutschen Sprachraum erschienenen Drucke des 18. Jahrhunderts
The VD18 project aims to digitize all works published from 1701 to 1800 in German or German-speaking areas. The intention is to create a complete virtual national library of the 18th century. The titles are not only in German but a variety of languages. In the two-year pilot phase of the project (2010-2012), 75,000 titles comprising 18 million pages will be digitized before the main project phase to digitize 600,000 titles begins.
