Collections of twentieth-century original photographs, primarily American. The collection contains photographs issued as collections, artificial collections of photographs assembled locally, and individual prints.

The only access to the collection is through a list arranged by photographer in a notebook at the Reading Room desk.
Descriptions of the portfolios are being added to the Rocky Mountain Online Archive.

Initially purchased from David H. Tippit in August, 1991. It continues to be augmented by purchases and additional gifts.
